E-number Colouring, colouring ingredient
E-numbers are, for example, colourings, flavour enhancers, and preservatives. They may be added as ingredients to food and beverages to improve products. If a product contains an E-number colouring agent, the name or E-number will be listed on the label. For example, ‘colouring agent: paprika extract’ or ‘colouring agent: E 160c’.
