Cacaolab was founded in 2012 as an R&D company and spin-off of Ghent University. We strongly focus on Innovation and Training from Bean to Praline by translating fundamental science into practical solutions and applications for companies around the world. Cacaolab supports a wide range of companies, from SMEs to multinationals in the cocoa and chocolate production and processing industry, as well as B2B manufacturers of ingredients and processing equipment.
Our small-scale experimental production facility reflects our innovative approach. The facility was specifically designed for the development of chocolate and a wide range of confectionery products. Here, we create prototype products and test, for example, sugar replacers as well as fibre- and protein-enriched ingredients in new applications.
Today’s chocolate industry faces the challenge of developing products that are not only delicious and technologically robust, but also better aligned with the growing demand for healthier food choices. This year, at our booth, we will show how Cacaolab supports companies in the development of cocoa and chocolate products with an improved nutritional profile, for example through sugar reduction, fibre addition or protein enrichment. Discover how we translate scientific insights into innovative, feasible and tasty solutions for the chocolate products of tomorrow.
With more than 15 years of experience, Cacaolab is ready to support you. Whether you are a raw material manufacturer exploring new markets or a user of cocoa and chocolate in various applications, Cacaolab is your trusted R&D partner. Visit our booth and together we will tailor our services to your specific goals and needs.
