When we think of food waste, we often picture surplus products on supermarket shelves. Yet the greatest losses occur much earlier in the value chain: on the production floor. Overfilling, rejected batches, start-up losses, process variability... losses that remain hidden because no one sees them.

In this keynote, we explore what happens when quality control is automated and connected to process optimization. Through real-world examples from the food industry, we demonstrate how AI makes process variation visible, predicts deviations before a batch is lost, and helps operators take corrective action faster, reducing waste instead of discarding products.

This is not a vision of the future. It is about solutions that are already delivering results today and what organizations need to get started.
